Question by devuelveme_a_mi_chico: Serious answers only please. Can the use of cocaine…?
cause seizures or brain damage?
My sister-in-law is a cocaine user and she has recently had constant migraine headaches and pain in her neck. She had been taking pain killers and muscle relaxers to put her to sleep. Early this morning, she had a seizure while in bed. I am concerned that maybe it is caused by the constant drug use. I am not talking about a little bit of cocaine. She will buy at least $ 150-$ 300 worth of cocaine and between her, her husband and a few other friends they will finish it all by staying up all night drinking and snorting lines.
The worst part is she has had the same type of illness about 10 years ago. It started out the same way, however, she never told the doctors that she abused cocaine so therefore, there was never a diagnosis of what it was or what could have caused it.
What do you guys think, and serious answers only, please. This is a very delicate situation for my husband & his family.

Yes it definitely can. I hope their are no children around, Maybe her having a seizure will be a wake up call…for her..then again maybe not. I hope she gets some help

all of those illegal drugs like cocaine cause brain damage, so it’s very likely that her seizures are caused by her cocaine use. i would definitely consult her doctor if i were you.
