I have this sneaking suspicion that my boyfriend has starting using cocaine again. It’s really upsetting given that he has been clean and sober (alcohol and cocaine) for 4 years. I never knew him when he was an active addict, so I don’t know the behavior. I’ve only known him as a very level-headed person who isn’t impulsive/rash in his decisions and choices. Then one day he came home and was hyper, cleaning the house and incessantly walking around the house aimlessly, having conversations outside with anyone, and making choices I would have never expected him to make because he had always been so aware of consequences he wouldn’t want to deal with.
Can someone, preferrably with personal experience, tell me what behaviors are giveaways and how long does it last? It was a full day of this and by the end of the night he was so sexually driven.
Another thing I noticed that night was that even though he was so sexually aroused, he couldn’t ejaculate. This was a first for us. I hear cocaine can do that. Yes or no?
thank you all for your answers. chillikan’s was definitely the most helpful in taking the actual factors i had notice into account and to include other possibilities. one thing he is not is a scumbag because he’s had a cocaine/alcohol problem.
and thank you all for the support and sympathies. i will face him with it, but i just wanted to know if my suspicions were close to being correct in terms of what could be happening since i’ve never had any experience being around people or knowing people who were actively using it. thank you all so much again
