Do Women Not Realize That “the Heart Wants What It Wants” Is Not a Valid Excuse for Some Behaviors?

Question by What about me, what about Raven?: Do women not realize that “the heart wants what it wants” is not a valid excuse for some behaviors?
A perfect example is “girls like bad boys/jerks/guys with “an edge” as if that is a solid justification for indulging in that behavior, with out criticism….

It’s sort of like saying about my junkie brother-in-law “hey! he likes smoking crack and snorting cocaine…what’s the big deal??”
Always right – the problem with that point is men who are pigs don’t deny it, yet nearly all women who go for bad boys do tend to downplay significantly their a) stupidity b) aversion to nice guys c) enjoyment at being treated like shit.

You’re right, it’s not a valid excuse.

But then again, “the dick wants what it wants” is not a valid excuse either. Not that you said it were. Just sayin’.
