After-Effects of Cocaine Usage?

I rarely drink alcohol anymore as when I do, I really can’t control myself, and will basically keep drinking till I pass out, however an old friend came into town yesterday and we went out drinking.

One thing led to another, and later that night I snorted a line of cocaine. I don’t remember much about it as I was so drunk, however I’ve woken up today and feeling really really bad. Like both physically and mentally. Physically I’ve had a pounding headache all day, and mentally because I’m so mad and upset at myself for doing that.

I’m a really anxious person – I get panic attacks generally on a weekly basis, so this has really been making me anxious. I guess I’m posting to see if this is standard after-effects, how long it’ll last, and really just get reassured that I’ll be okay(as I have no-one to reach out to), to help with my anxiety 🙂

give yourself a break,you let go and did somehting you didnt want to but were all human,the only reason for guilt is so we dont make the same mistake again,the pain will go and if it has that bad an effect on you you wont do it again but dont beat yourself up about it,lifes too short.

The way you feel sounds “normal” based on your previous nights actions. Because you already have anxiety issues, cocaine seems to amplify those feelings ten-fold. Having a headache goes hand in hand with being a side effect of drinking. On top of that, you snorted something up into your head, nasal cavity and brain. I would be surprised if your head didn’t hurt. I’m sure you’ll be okay..as long as you stay away from the stuff. You’ll probably feel crappy physically for a couple of days. Theres nothing you can do about that, so relax…Emotionally / mentally you’ll feel crappy for as long as you chose to. Like I said, the damage is done, and the way you’re feeling is normal. All you can do is ride it out, but don’t let it get the best of you. Its over & done with so theres no reason to send yourself into a panic / anxiety attack. Just remember your experience the next time….learn from your mistakes. Good luck
